Our dedicated team is made up of a group of professionals who between them share years of knowledge and experience. This is utilised to support candidates from the start their training, all the way through to completion and beyond.

Peter Clarke

Head of Training and Development

Peter has worked for a variety of clients within multiple industries over the years. His background includes: roles in sales and marketing; 13 years within the building and design industry; interior design consultancy within the leisure and commercial industry; and, more recently, roles within the security industry.

Now, as Director of Training and Development, he oversees the continual growth and development of the training aspect of the Global Partnership Training Academy, covering a mass market of health and safety, food safety, employability skills, security, hospitality, sales and marketing, business administration and construction.

Peter is a fully qualified trainer and assessor in all these areas and continues to gain accreditations in a variety of fields. Recently, he acquired a Health & Safety accreditation in Site Management in Safety Training, as well as an Asbestos Awareness certification.

David Marriner

Operations Director

With over ten years of experience working within leading hospitality brands, David brings a wealth of knowledge to his role as Operations Director. Using his extensive sales background, he works alongside our office staff, sales team and internal quality assurers team to drive the business forward, and oversees our growing team of tutors and assessors at our training centre.

Sharon Porter

Internal Quality Assurance

With a background working for HM Revenue and Customs at Hull Docks, Sharon has an extensive background in security and health and safety. She is highly regarded in the training world, having worked with a multitude of training companies across the UK and written course material for Highfield awarding body. Here at Global Partnership Training Academy, Sharon heads up our internal Quality Assurance department.

Daniel Davies

Head of Social Care Training

Daniel heads up our Health and Social Care sector. His role overseeing the development and delivery of our care training comes from over 20 years of experience in the care sector. His background in operational care homes and one-to-one care comes into play when choosing the right course material.

David Lockwood

Associate Tutor

With over ten years experience in the security world, David brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles as Regional Manager for Industry UK security and Site Manager for Balfour Beatty. His areas of sector delivery include security, licensing, and health and safety.

Justin Powley

Associate Tutor

Justin is a training instructor for the management of aggression and violence for South West Yorkshire NHS Foundation Trust, Director for PEER Support Yorkshire CIC, and owner of self defence training and personal safety awareness company Redbear.

He has a diverse background with ten years experience as a health care assistant working with individuals with mental health problems or learning difficulties, five years experience as a physical interventions and conflict management instructor, twenty years working as a door supervisor, and twelve years as an events safety steward.

As well as being a registered KEWAP Instructor, Justin holds a wide range of professional qualifications including: Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Customer Service, BTEC Level 3 Self Defence Instructor, Level 3 award in the Delivery of Conflict Management Training, and Level 3 award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector.

Andrew Hayler

Associate Tutor

With 10 years of experience working within close protection and security, Andy brings a wealth of first-hand knowledge to his role as Associate Tutor. For the past five years, he provided close protection services to the television and film industry before making the move into training two years ago.

Martin Baxter

Regional Training Director for the North

Martin Baxter oversees six associate tutors as well as our induction team and has over 22 years in the security and license industry. Working across the entire leisure sector, he has held a variety of positions including Head Door Supervisor, Security Manager and Nightclub General Manager.

Whilst undertaking many of his employed duties, Martin has worked at some of the UK's largest events, sporting events and prestigious leisure venues, and has worked for one of the UK's biggest leisure importers.

Putting all of his front-line experience to good use, Martin is now training the next generation of door supervisors and personal licence holders.

Sean Martin

Close Quarter Combat Instructor

With a background as a former royal marine commando Sean enhances his role with a variety of other skills. The past ten years Sean had worked for the NHS as a mental health nurse before moving from a hobby to a full time role as a mixed martial arts instructor. His gym Hamma mixed martial arts has grown to a global brand within mixed martial arts with all the worlds top shows requesting his stable of fighters.

Sean will be working with some of the best in the business in close protection.

Bekki Jacobs

Client Relationship Manager

Bekki fits that bill to a tee and brings to the business more than 10 years’ experience of working within the customer service and retail management sectors.

With a listening ear and a practical, down to earth approach, Bekki ensures that all our clients training requirements are delivered . She enhances the learner journey buy working with our team our experts to create the perfect learner journey.

Bekki’s career has always been based on delivering great Customer Service and building relationships.

With over 10 years’ experience in Retail Management in Oxford and London, Bekki’s past roles have included customer service staff training, coaching and business to business sales.
Bekki's more recent roles have involved working with the Corporate hospitality and corporate security industry.

These roles have produced long lasting relationships which is what we at Global Partnership Training deliver every time.
